YOUR SHIP - The APT Solara

Description

APT Solara is one of APT’s newest and most ambitious river ships, launched in 2024 and carrying just 154 guests in a vessel designed from the outset to redefine what European river cruising can be. The Hecker Guthrie design studio in Melbourne, responsible for some of Australia’s most celebrated hotel interiors, created the ship’s aesthetic around European waterway seasons and landscapes, giving APT Solara an interior character that is both distinctively Australian in its confident luxury and entirely appropriate to the Rhine, Main and Danube it navigates.

Six dining venues across the ship give APT Solara a range that no comparable river vessel currently matches: the elegant main restaurant, an intimate wine cellar, a conservatory dining room, casual lounge dining, an exclusive aft restaurant focusing on seasonal produce and rooftop alfresco dining on the all-seasons sun deck. With 60 crew serving 154 guests, the staff-to-guest ratio ensures a level of personalised attention that distinguishes APT from operators carrying two or three times the passenger numbers.

The three suite categories progress from the 161 sq ft Twin Window Suites through the 183 sq ft Balcony Suites with their electric floor-to-ceiling slide-down windows and French balconies, to the 269 sq ft Owner’s Suites with large outdoor balconies and panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows. The all-seasons rooftop sun deck with pool, lounge and dining gives outdoor access in October and November conditions that most river ships cannot provide. E-bikes are available for shore exploration and the onboard spa and gym are available throughout the voyage.
