This 13-night Greenland journey begins in Montreal, Canada, with one night at a 5-star hotel before a charter flight delivers you directly to Nuuk, one of the most remote capitals on earth. From there, Silver Wind sails north and south along a coastline of calving glaciers, ancient fjords and Inuit communities that most travellers will never see, calling at Sissimiut, the icebergs of Ilulissat, Eqip Sermia Glacier, Disko Island, Evighedsfjord, Paamiut, the Norse ruins at Hvalsey and the Prince Christian Sound before crossing the Denmark Strait to Reykjavik, where two nights at a 5-star hotel conclude the journey.
Greenland is one of those places that reframes everything. The scale of the ice, the silence of the fjords and the remoteness of the communities visited are unlike anything available on a conventional cruise itinerary. Silver Wind carries just 274 guests, and with 24 Zodiacs aboard, every single guest can go ashore simultaneously. At the glacier face at Eqip Sermia, in the fjords that no road reaches and on the Norse ruins at Hvalsey, that is not a small detail. It is the entire difference between observing Greenland from a deck and actually being inside it.
Silversea brings its full measure of ultra-luxury to one of the planet’s last truly wild frontiers: butler service in every suite, all meals and beverages included, and an expedition team of naturalists and Arctic specialists leading every Zodiac excursion and shore experience. This is expedition cruising without compromise.

YOUR ITINERARY
Your Arctic adventure begins in Montreal. Check in to your five-star hotel, take an evening stroll through the city and rest well. Tomorrow, you fly to one of the most remote capitals on earth.
...A charter flight from Montreal delivers you to Nuuk, Greenland’s compact and surprisingly cosmopolitan capital. A group transfer takes you straight to the port, where Silver Wind is waiting. The ship departs at 6:00pm into the waters of Davis Strait.
...In port 8:00am to 1:00pm. Greenland’s second-largest town sits just above the Arctic Circle and wears its history well. Colourful wooden houses climb the hillside above the harbour, and the surrounding landscape of tundra and sea offers some of the best hiking on the island.
...In port 6:30am to 9:30pm. The centrepiece of the voyage. Ilulissat sits beside one of the world’s most productive glaciers, and the icebergs that drift through the Icefjord here are a UNESCO World Heritage sight of staggering scale. An early arrival and a long day give you every chance to take it all in.
...A full day in the presence of one of Greenland’s most active tidewater glaciers. Silver Wind positions herself close enough to witness the thunder and spectacle of calving ice, a sight that is as humbling as it is extraordinary.
...Set on Disko Island, this small settlement is one of the oldest in Greenland and one of the most geologically fascinating. Volcanic basalt columns, hot springs and a landscape unlike anywhere else on the island make it a compelling morning stop.
...In port 8:00am to 1:00pm. The name translates as Eternity Fjord, and it earns it. A cathedral of rock and ice stretching deep into the interior, where the silence is total and the scenery is the kind that stays with you.
...A quieter stop on Greenland’s southwest coast, Paamiut sits at the mouth of a dramatic fjord system. Largely off the tourist trail, it offers a genuine glimpse into the rhythms of daily life in a remote Arctic community.
...Two stops in one day, both worth the effort. Hvalsey holds the best-preserved Norse ruins in Greenland, the remnants of a church where the last recorded Viking wedding was held in 1408. Qaqortoq is the south’s largest town, known for its stone carvings, coloured houses and the warmth of its people.

...A narrow passage through one of the most dramatic waterways in the Arctic. Towering peaks drop straight into the water on either side as Silver Wind threads through this remote corner of southern Greenland. Best experienced from the deck with coffee in hand.
...The Denmark Strait lies between Greenland and Iceland, and today Silver Wind crosses it. A day to reflect on the week behind you and the city ahead.
...Silver Wind arrives at 7:30am. A private transfer takes you to your five-star hotel, where two nights in Iceland’s remarkable capital await.
...A full free day in Reykjavik. The Golden Circle, the Blue Lagoon, Hallgrimskirkja, the harbour, the restaurants — Iceland rewards the curious at every turn.
...A private transfer to the airport and the journey home. Greenland, it turns out, is very hard to leave behind.
