Imagine this: you’re announced like royalty as you step aboard, the crew and Mickey or Goofy cheering your arrival with the kind of fanfare only Disney can deliver. From the very first moment, the Disney Wonder wraps you in enchantment. I may have shed a tear and it wasn’t the only one throughout my 4 day experience on the Wonder.
A Floating Fairytale for Families
This isn’t just a cruise – it’s a storybook adventure at sea. Every detail on the Disney Wonder is sprinkled with pixie dust. Your morning coffee? It comes adorned with Mickey’s cheerful face or Elsa’s icy elegance thanks to the character latte art at Cove Café. Your kids (and let’s be honest, you too) will be dancing with joy at the deck parties, where Mickey, Minnie, and their pals bust a move under the open sky. And yes I was at the front joining in! The Avengers gathering had me running to work out how to see them all and the Marvel deck show …. Oh My Gosh what an amazing performance featuring all your favourites, Black Widow, Thor, Loki, Spiderman, Iron man and Black Panther.
Dine Like Royalty
Every meal is an event. Rotational dining in uniquely themed restaurants, the whimsical Animator’s Palate where the walls come alive with your own animated sketches and color, to eating Tiana’s famous beignets in the New Orleans themed Tiana’s Place, dining on the Disney Wonder is as magical as it is mouthwatering. Even those with dietary restrictions—are looked after with care. Got a gluten allergy like me? No problem. Disney’s culinary team ensures everyone enjoys their meal safely and deliciously.
Swashbuckling Fun and Starry Nights
The Pirate Night is an experience you won’t want to miss. Pack your eye patch and prepare to yo-ho-ho the night away as the ship transforms into a high-seas celebration, complete with fireworks at sea. It’s the kind of night your kids will talk about for years. Getting character photos with even the characters in pirate outfits was such great fun. Hook, Mr Smee and even Captain Jack Sparrow make an appearance for Pirate night.
