YOUR ITINERARY
Guests arrive in Budapest, a city that took its current form in 1873 when Buda, Pest and Óbuda merged along the Danube. The river ship waits at the quay. A welcome reception that evening introduces the Cruise Director and fellow travellers.
...A guided tour opens up Budapest, where the neo-Gothic Parliament building, finished in 1904, rises from the Danube bank. The Insider Experience visits the Hungarian State Opera, which Miklós Ybl designed and which opened in 1884. A guided tour ends with a glass of sparkling wine and a private recital. The ship sets sail during the Gala Welcome Dinner.
Daily: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
The ship reaches Vienna, where a walking tour covers St Stephen’s Cathedral, the Graben and the Hofburg, home to the Habsburg dynasty until 1918. Free time follows at the Naschmarkt, the city’s best-known food market.
Daily: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
A free day in Vienna leaves room to wander the Hofburg district or stroll Kärntner Straße, the city’s main shopping street. Optional excursions cost extra.
Enhance Your Journey: Schloss Hof and Lipizzaner Experience. Schloss Hof was once the country residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy and later of Empress Maria Theresa. The tour covers the palace apartments and Baroque gardens, then a private visit to the stables and a performance by the Lipizzaner horses.
Enhance Your Journey: Bratislava. Slovakia’s capital mixes medieval, Baroque and communist-era architecture, from the UFO Bridge to the Slovak Radio Building.
Enhance Your Journey: Mozart and Strauss Concert. A concert in a historic Vienna palace or concert hall ends with an evening drive along the Ringstrasse.

The ship cruises into the Wachau Valley, a World Heritage landscape of terraced vineyards. Hilltop ruins above Dürnstein mark the castle that held King Richard the Lionheart prisoner in the 12th century. The morning is free for cobbled lanes and wine taverns, with an optional tasting of local wines. In the afternoon, a tour of Melk Abbey explores a Benedictine monastery in continuous use since 1089.
Daily: Breakfast Lunch Dinner
The ship spends the day on the Danube, sailing from Aschach to Passau, where the Danube, Inn and Ilz rivers meet. Guests can stay on board or join an optional excursion at extra cost.
Insider Experience: Bavarian Evening on Board. A traditional Bavarian celebration brings local beer and snacks, folk music, song and dance.
Enhance Your Journey: Český Krumlov. A full-day excursion visits a preserved town in the Czech Republic with more than 300 historic buildings.
Enhance Your Journey: Salzburg Sights. The route crosses Austrian countryside to Mondsee, where the church from the wedding scene in The Sound of Music stands. A guided tour of Mozart’s hometown follows, then free time before the return to the ship.

Nuremberg carries two chapters of 20th-century history. The Nazi Party staged its mass rallies here, and this afternoon’s city tour includes Zeppelin Field. The Palace of Justice later hosted the Nuremberg trials of Nazi leaders after the Second World War.
