A free day in the city. Head to the British Museum, Camden Market or take a Thames river cruise.

Today a shared coach transfer will take you from Victoria Station to the port.

A day to settle in before Scandinavia.

Denmark’s northern tip, where the Baltic meets the North Sea. Cycle past yellow houses and red roofs, visit Skagen Art Museum, or try marinated herring and aquavit at Pakhuset. At Grenen you can stand with one foot in the Baltic and one in the North Sea.

Denmark’s canal capital. See the Little Mermaid statue, walk Nyhavn’s 500 year old harbourfront, browse the shops on Strøget or spend an evening at Tivoli Gardens.

Your gateway to Berlin’s Reichstag dome and Pergamon Museum, a train ride from port. Stay closer to the ship and walk Warnemünde’s beach promenade or Rostock’s old Hanseatic streets.

A sea day heading into the Baltic.

Estonia’s walled capital. Teutonic Knights, Polish princes, Russian Tsars and the Soviet Union all ruled here before independence in 1991. Walk the cobbled Old Town and its medieval towers.

Finland’s design capital, home to composer Sibelius and architects Eliel and Eero Saarinen. Neoclassical buildings sit alongside striking modern architecture across the city.

Stockholm spans 14 islands, with Old Town Gamla Stan dating back seven centuries. Spend today among its copper roofed spires and cobbled lanes.

Your second day here, take a boat into the archipelago’s 30,000 islands, tour the Vasa Museum’s 17th century warship, or explore Södermalm beyond Gamla Stan.

A UNESCO listed medieval town on Gotland island. 13th century walls circle the old centre, or head into the countryside for Gotland’s farms and meadows.

A day at sea before Norway.

Christian IV founded Kristiansand in 1641 as a market town on Norway’s southern coast. It claims the sunniest summers in the country.

Sailing north along the Norwegian coast.

A call back in England mid voyage. Explore Southampton’s maritime quarter or head into London for the day before rejoining the ship.

A sea day before Scotland.

Scotland’s compact capital. Edinburgh Castle holds the crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, an easy walk from the medieval Old Town and Georgian New Town.

Heading into the Norwegian fjords.

Your gateway to Norway’s fjord country. Jotunheimen National Park’s mountains rise straight from ice blue fjords, with waterfalls and two UNESCO sites close by.

On the Nordfjord, mountain peaks and glaciers surround the village. American landscape artist William H. Singer settled here in the early 1900s and left the town a road and a regional hospital.

Norwegians founded Trondheim in the 11th century. The city’s Gothic Nidaros Cathedral has an ornate rose window and carved west facade.

Sailing north of the Arctic Circle.

Europe’s northernmost point, on Magerøya Island. From mid-May to July the midnight sun never dips below the horizon, and the cliffs of North Cape, 300 metres above the Arctic Ocean, give you the best view.

North of the Arctic Circle, Tromsø has drawn polar explorers since the 18th century. Ride the cable car up Mt Storsteinen for views over the city and Troms Island.

Heading south along the Norwegian coast.

Locals call Molde the City of Roses. More than 200 named peaks make up the Molde Panorama behind the town, and it’s your gateway to the Atlantic Road and the Trollstigen mountain pass.

Olav Kyrre founded Bergen in 1070. The Bryggen wharf is UNESCO listed from the old Hanseatic trading days, and composer Edvard Grieg called the city home. Ride the Fløibanen funicular up to Fløyen for harbour views.
