About Scenic Azure
Scenic Azure is Scenic’s dedicated Douro River vessel and the only Scenic Space-Ship sailing in Portugal, launched in 2016 and carrying just 96 guests across four decks in a ship purpose-built for the Douro’s specific dimensions and lock system. At 265 feet in length, Scenic Azure is custom-sized for the narrow gorges and historic locks of the upper Douro, allowing access to Barca d’Alva and Pocinho near the Spanish border that larger vessels cannot reach.
The all-inclusive model covers all meals across the Crystal Dining Room, the Galley and the Wheelhouse Bar, with premium beverages available throughout the day rather than only at mealtimes. The Sun Deck gives elevated views of the terraced vineyards as the ship moves through the valley, and the Panorama Lounge provides panoramic river views at water level. The Scenic Sun Lounge balcony system in the Balcony Suite categories lowers the full glass wall to create an open-air connection to the Douro landscape outside. Butler service is provided throughout for every suite category. Complimentary Wi-Fi, all gratuities on board and ashore and return airport transfers are included. The Royal One-Bedroom Suite at 420 sq ft with a separate lounge area, private balcony and luxurious bathroom with separate bath and shower is the finest category on the ship and one of the most spacious single-deck river suites available on any European river.
