YOUR SHIP - The Scenic Diamond
Scenic Diamond is one of Scenic’s dedicated French river vessels, originally launched in 2008 and comprehensively rebuilt in 2017 to introduce the Scenic Culinaire cooking school, two new Royal Owner’s Suites and the full range of Space-Ship luxury features. Carrying up to 147 guests, Scenic Diamond sails exclusively on the French river system including the Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde waterways of the Bordeaux region, the Seine and the Rhône.
The Scenic Culinaire cooking school is the defining feature unique to the French fleet. The purpose-built kitchen with individual cooking stations allows guests to shop for ingredients at local markets in the morning and prepare a meal under chef guidance in the afternoon, a programme that is particularly well-suited to the Bordeaux itinerary where the local produce, from Arcachon oysters and Pauillac lamb to Sauternes and the wines of Saint-Émilion, is among the finest in France. The Crystal Dining Room, L’Amour Restaurant, the Panorama Bar and the Wheelhouse Bar give five distinct dining and social spaces across the ship’s four decks. The Royal Owner’s Suite at 47 square metres with a separate lounge, bedroom and oversized bathroom is the largest suite available on any European river vessel. The Royal Panorama Suite at 325 sq ft with floor-to-ceiling windows across two walls gives the most panoramic views of any category on the ship. Butler service is provided throughout for every suite category. All gratuities, Wi-Fi and return airport transfers are included.
