Hurtigruten's Voyages

The Original Coastal Express

This is Hurtigruten’s classic route. It has faithfully served the families and communities of the Norwegian coast since it was pioneered by the cruise line. Today, it is there signature 12-day voyage from Bergen to Kirkenes, and back, and it covers some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, with Norway’s iconic fjords, charming fishing villages, and majestic mountains on full display. You’ll explore the myths of the Helgeland Coast, marvel at the beauty of the Lofoten and Vesterålen islands, and visit 34 coastal communities along the way. Whether stopping for a few minutes or a few hours, each port is a unique experience.

The Svalbard Express

This iconic summertime voyage takes you deep into the Arctic Circle and the land of the midnight sun. Tracing the footsteps of pioneering explorers, you’ll sail right up to the edge of the world; experience the Midnight Sun as you journey to the Far North; and explore 16 carefully selected destinations that will deepen your understanding of Norway’s coast and culture. You’ll explore magical spots like the alpine village of Åndalsnes and Træna, one of Norway’s oldest fishing communities; see the bird cliffs of Bjørnøya island in the middle of the Barents Sea; and venture into polar bear territory at former coal mining town Ny-Ålesund.

The North Cape Express

Journey along Norway’s coast, between its capital and its capes, to the top of Europe, and into the realm of the magical Northern Lights. This wintertime voyages covers the full length of the Norwegian coast, sailing between it’s southernmost and northernmost points. Calling in at 16 incredible destinations, you will be able to scan the skies for the aurora in Alta, the City of Northern Lights; delve into Viking history at Haugesund; and cruise the unbelieveable scenery of Hardangerfjord. Plus, Hurtigruten offers more than 35 seasonal excursions that you can add on to your voyage to further enhance your North Cape Express experience.

The Spitsbergen Adventurer

This nostalgic voyage of the largest island in the Svalbard archipelago is the experience of a lifetime that combines a stop in Longyearbyen, the last town before the North Pole, with the remote landscapes and Arctic wildlife of northern Svalbard. Sailing on a classic ship from 1956, you will embrace your sense of adventure as you sail to Moffen island; cruise into a land of fjords and glaciers; and experience escorted nature landings aboard tender boats. And if you’re lucky, you will have the chance to spot polar bears prowling the shores and sea ice for seals; beluga whales breaching the water; and reindeer and Arctic foxes roaming the tundras.
