One night in Sydney sets the scene before Seven Seas Mariner departs on a fourteen-night voyage south and east across the Tasman Sea, timed to spend Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve at sea in full Regent style. A day tracing the fjords of Milford, Doubtful and Dusky Sound gives way to eight New Zealand ports in succession, before the voyage closes in Auckland with two further nights ashore. Every suite aboard is a private retreat, and the festive season is met with the same effortless standard as any other day: exquisite dining across every specialty restaurant, free-flowing fine wines and cocktails, and shore excursions included at every port.
This is Regent Seven Seas at its most celebratory. With limited suites released at this price, now is the time to secure a place aboard for Christmas.

YOUR ITINERARY
Arrive in Sydney for one night’s accommodation ahead of departure.
...Seven Seas Mariner departs Sydney at 5:00 PM.
...A day at sea cruising the Tasman Sea, settling into suite life as the ship tracks south toward Tasmania.
...Hobart (Tasmania), 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM – Salamanca Place and the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) are both within easy reach of the port.
...Christmas Eve at sea, cruising the Tasman Sea.
...Christmas Day at sea, cruising the Tasman Sea, marked with a specialty dinner and free-flowing Champagne through the ship’s open bars and lounges.
...A single day threads through three of Fiordland’s most dramatic waterways – Milford Sound (8:00 to 9:00 AM), Doubtful Sound (12:15 to 1:15 PM) and Dusky Sound (2:45 to 3:45 PM) – within Te Wahipounamu, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
...Milford Sound is the undisputed jewel of Fiordland National Park. Although called Milford Sound, it is more classified as a fjord. Thousands of years ago, glacial ice forged its rugged grandeur. Sheer faced granite walls soar skyward, white-plumed waterfalls tumble from valleys into glassy waters, and Mitre Peak rears more than 5,000 feet into the mist. Due to its natural beauty and cultural significance, Milford Sound has been nominated a world heritage area. Please be advised that due to the under-developed nature of this destination, organized tours are not available.
...Dunedin, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – New Zealand’s most Scottish city, home to the ornate Dunedin Railway Station and the wildlife of the Otago Peninsula.
...Timaru, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – Caroline Bay, gateway to the Mackenzie Country and Aoraki Mount Cook.
...A tendered call at Akaroa, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, a French heritage village within the volcanic crater of Banks Peninsula.
...Picton, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM – gateway to the Marlborough Sounds and New Zealand’s foremost wine region.
...New Year’s Eve in Wellington, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, home to Te Papa Museum, before the ship’s open bars and lounges host the countdown to midnight back on board.
...New Year’s Day ashore in Napier, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, rebuilt in Art Deco style after the 1931 earthquake and set within the Hawke’s Bay wine region.
...A tendered call at Gisborne, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the first city in the world to greet the sunrise each day.
...Tauranga, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, gateway to Rotorua’s geothermal landscape and Maori cultural heritage.
...Arrive Auckland at 7:00 AM, marking the end of the cruise, with two further nights ashore.
...A full day free in Auckland to explore at a relaxed pace. The waterfront at Viaduct Harbour sits an easy walk from most central hotels, with the Sky Tower and Auckland War Memorial Museum both a short taxi ride away.
...A private transfer from hotel to airport closes out the journey.
