YOUR ITINERARY

Day 1
28th Mar 2027
Regensburg

Arrive at Munich Airport. If you have arranged a Uniworld arrival transfer, a Uniworld representative will be on hand to greet you and transfer you to the ship in Regensburg.

...
Day 2
29th Mar 2027
Regensburg

Bavaria’s first capital, Regensburg, owes its impressive historical lineage and rich architectural heritage to 600 years as a Free Imperial City, a fact recognised by UNESCO in 2006. Today, discover how this beautifully preserved medieval city coexists with a vibrant modern urban centre. Choose between two carefully curated excursions running at the same time.
Regensburg on Stage: The Living City Tour: Walk through the cobbled lanes of the UNESCO-designated Old Town, where 2,000 years of history reveal themselves at every turn — from the Stone Bridge that made Regensburg a 12th-century trading powerhouse, to the Gothic town hall where the Imperial Diet met for three centuries, the 13th-century fortified patrician houses and the spectacular Cathedral of St. Peter with its magnificent 14th-century stained-glass windows. Free time to explore independently afterwards.
From Hops Field to Beer Stein Farm Visit: Travel through Bavaria’s Holledau region, the largest hops-growing district in the world, and meet a passionate ambassador of hops cultivation and beer making. A tour through the family-owned growing fields is followed by a craft beer tasting in a cosy barn turned beer hall.
Also included this evening: Nights Out — a private concert by the Regensburger Domspatzen in their famous Gothic cathedral. Literally translated as the Regensburg Cathedral Sparrows, this is the oldest boys’ choir in the world, dating to the 10th century.

Day 3
30th Mar 2027
Passau

Passau is a crossroads in more ways than one — three rivers meet here and three nations nearly do, making for a fascinating cultural mosaic. Choose between three carefully curated excursions running at the same time.
Home Hosted Visit: A local Bavarian family welcomes you into their home for a deeply personal and rare travel experience, sharing stories of life in Passau over coffee and cake or a traditional brotzeit spread.
Fairytale Forest Adventure: Hike through the woods outside Passau to the Saußbachklamm, a picturesque rocky landscape with a tiny creek at its heart, arriving at a charming cabin where the owner serves smoked fish, craft beer and specialty schnapps.
Meet the Locals: A city tour that uncovers Passau’s history, must-see sites and hidden gems, with stops to meet craftsmen at work — a pottery maker, goldsmith, baker or artist — each sharing their stories and leaving you with a small gift to remember the day.
Also available: Let’s Go bike ride along the Inn River, cycling through the river valley on both sides of the Austria-Germany border, with picturesque countryside, villages and sparkling river views throughout.

...
Day 4
31st Mar 2027
Melk

A UNESCO World Heritage Site for its beauty and history, the Wachau Valley retains its authentic cultural landscape while drawing visitors from around the world. The jewel in the crown is Melk and its cheery yellow abbey, a Baroque masterpiece standing atop a hill overlooking the river.
Melk Abbey with Library Visit (included): The Benedictine monks of Melk turned a castle given to them by the great medieval Babenberg ducal family into the greatest centre of learning in Central Europe. Their library is celebrated worldwide — Umberto Eco paid tribute to it in his best-selling novel The Name of the Rose — and today contains some 100,000 volumes. The complex, completely rebuilt in the early 18th century, is a masterpiece of Baroque art and architecture, with spectacular views from its terrace. In the Marble Hall, look up at the ceiling fresco by Paul Troger depicting Holy Roman Emperor Charles VI allegorically bringing his people from darkness to light.

...
Day 5
1st Apr 2027
Vienna

The grand dame of the Danube, Vienna was the heart of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and remains the political and cultural centre of Austria. Klimt painted here. Beethoven and Mozart composed here. Freud developed his theories here. A treasure trove of splendid architecture, astonishing art collections and inviting cafés, today Vienna is yours to explore. Choose between two carefully curated excursions running at the same time.
Morning with the Masters: Klimt at the Belvedere: The Belvedere is a Baroque palatial complex originally built as the summer residence of Prince Eugene of Savoy and later turned by Empress Maria Theresa into one of the first public museums in the world. Today it houses one of the finest art collections anywhere, including the world’s largest collection of works by Gustav Klimt — among them his most famous work, The Kiss.
Vienna’s Historic Trails and Local Treats: An immersive walking tour for the art lover and the gourmand, including coffee and strudel at a local coffee house, a glass of Viennese wine from one of the city’s oldest cellars, and walks past Kinsky Palace, the statues of the Heldenplatz, St. Stephen’s Cathedral and more.

...
Day 6
2nd Apr 2027
Vienna

Once hidden from the world behind the Iron Curtain, Slovakia retains an air of mystery and intrigue, and its small capital city has an unexpectedly colourful history. Bratislava straddles the mighty Danube and has played a leading role in the politics and culture of the region for many centuries.
Full-Day Bratislava and Schloss Hof Visit (included): A full day exploring Bratislava’s historic streets and the magnificent Schloss Hof, the grand imperial estate of Prince Eugene of Savoy on the Austrian side of the Danube.

...
Day 7
3rd Apr 2027
Budapest

Located on opposite sides of the Danube, Buda and Pest each has a distinctive character and allure all its own. Choose between two carefully curated excursions running at the same time.
Budapest Walk with Local Treats: A tram ride to the House of Parliament, coffee at the First Strudel House of Pest, a walk to St. Stephen’s Basilica and a visit to the Great Market Hall to sample traditional Hungarian salami, sausages and cheese with a local expert on hand to explain the intricacies of Hungarian cuisine.
Budapest Panoramic Highlights with Castle Hill: A sweeping panoramic tour from Heroes’ Square past the Dohány Street Synagogue, Hungarian National Museum, state opera house, St. Stephen’s Basilica and Parliament Building to Castle Hill, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visit the magnificent 700-year-old Matthias Church and the picturesque Fisherman’s Bastion, whose seven fairytale towers represent the seven tribes that originally settled the region. Note: visits to the interior of Matthias Church may not be possible on some weekends and Catholic holidays.
This evening, the Captain’s Farewell Reception and Dinner.

...
Day 8
4th Apr 2027
