Arrive at 8:00am into Lautoka, Fiji’s second largest city and gateway to the stunning Mamanuca and Yasawa Islands. With time ashore until 10:00pm, there’s plenty of opportunity to explore local markets, join a village tour, or venture out to the surrounding coral reefs.

Wake up in Suva, Fiji’s vibrant capital. Docked from 8:00am to 7:00pm, spend the day discovering the colourful local markets, the impressive Fiji Museum, and the lush tropical scenery that defines this remarkable island nation.

A peaceful day at sea as the ship heads northeast towards American Samoa. A great opportunity to recharge before the next stretch of island discoveries.

A day that covers two countries and crosses the International Date Line, beginning in Pago Pago, the dramatic harbour capital of American Samoa, and ending in Apia, the capital of independent Samoa. Pago Pago’s harbour is one of the most spectacular in the Pacific, the narrow channel between the volcanic peaks giving the port a enclosed, almost theatrical quality. The National Park of American Samoa, accessible from the town, protects one of the last remaining areas of paleotropical rainforest in the US National Park system. After the dateline crossing, Apia is a quieter and more relaxed introduction to the independent Samoa: the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum at Vailima, where the author of Treasure Island lived for the last four years of his life and is buried on the hill above, is the finest single cultural site on the island. The Papaseea Sliding Rocks natural water slides north of the city and the To Sua Ocean Trench, a deep swimming hole accessible by ladder through lush tropical gardens, are both excellent afternoon options before the 6pm departure.

Back to the open ocean as Celebrity Solstice heads north towards Hawaii. Enjoy the pool deck, catch a show, or simply soak up the sunshine with a cocktail in hand.
