YOUR ITINERARY
This charming city is one of the most ancient capitals in the world. The old quarter still bustles with life while well-preserved colonial buildings and ancient pagodas sit alongside modern city centre developments.
...First, you’ll visit Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, before visiting the Ethnology Museum. Come afternoon, you’ll visit Van Mieu, the Temple of Literature. Finally, you’ll continue to the Old Quarter and admire the surroundings of the Sword Lake.
...Today, journey out of the city to explore Duong Lam Ancient Village, one of the few surviving traditional villages in the Red River Delta, where centuries-old laterite houses line narrow lanes. Continue to Thay Pagoda, a striking 11th-century Buddhist temple set against a limestone hillside. Return to Hanoi in the afternoon with time to explore the Old Quarter at your own pace: sample bun cha at a street stall, sip egg coffee in a hidden cafe, or watch the evening bustle around Hoan Kiem Lake. Breakfast included.
...This morning, you’ll embark on your cruise in Lan Ha Bay, within the revered UNESCO Hạ Long Bay. This world-famous bay is home to one of the most beautiful landscapes in Vietnam.
...Arriving in Huế, you’ll check into your hotel before enjoying an afternoon at leisure. You could seek out the magnificent Perfume River, a tranquil and picturesque river on a clear day and an intriguing, atmospheric sight in sullen weather.
...This morning, you’ll start your guided tour with a visit to the Imperial Citadel and its gardens. Come afternoon, discover Tu Duc Mausoleum, a model of traditional Vietnamese art before exploring Từ Hiếu Pagoda.
...Leaving Huế behind, you’ll relish the beautiful panoramas of Vietnam on a scenic coach journey along the Hai Van Pass. Once in Hội An, you’ll check into your hotel for a three-night stay, ready to embrace its iconic sights.
...Enjoy a visit to the Hội An Ancient Town, before travelling through the rural scenery to Tra Que herb village. You’ll then be treated to a foot bath and massage, before taking part in a banh xeo cooking demonstration.
...A free day to explore Hoi An at your own pace. Rise early for the bustling central market when the fishermen deliver the morning’s catch, rent a bicycle and ride to An Bang Beach for a swim, or visit one of the town’s renowned tailors to have a custom outfit made. In the afternoon, join a lantern-making workshop, take a basket boat ride on the Thu Bon River, or simply wander the atmospheric lanes as the town transforms at dusk with hundreds of silk lanterns glowing along the waterfront. Breakfast included.
...Your adventure continues with a two-night hotel stay in Ho Chi Minh City. Wander down Le Duan Boulevard towards Reunification Palace; stroll through colourful Chợ Lớn or visit Nghia An Hoi Quan Pagoda, known for its detailed interiors.
...Venture into the historic network of underground passageways that served a crucial role during the Vietnam War with a Củ Chi Tunnels tour. Gain insight into the resilience of the North Vietnamese soldiers before relishing an afternoon city tour.
...Today, you’ll journey to Mỹ Tho to join the Lotus’ elegant Mekong Navigator for your opulent cruise along the almighty Mekong. As your upstream journey commences, you’ll experience five-star cordial hospitality and settle into your luxurious surroundings.
...Drift along narrow waterways lined with coconut palms before arriving in Cho Lach. Discover rural charm through fragrant orchards, artisan workshops, and authentic encounters with welcoming villagers offering a glimpse into timeless Vietnamese traditions.
...Sail to serene Gieng Island, where centuries-old churches and lush canals reveal echoes of Vietnam’s French colonial past. In Long Thuan, embrace river life amid verdant rice fields and a community rooted in tradition.
...With the morning at leisure, relax on the sun deck or visit La Vie spa. Observe a fascinating transformation in the riverfront’s architecture and landscapes as you as approach the border between Vietnam and Cambodia.
...Enjoy an overnight in port in Phnom Penh, visiting the Choeung Ek Killing Fields where you’ll learn of Cambodia’s heart-wrenching history. Your afternoon will then be spent as you wish with an opportunity to explore the central markets.
...Today you’ll visit the dazzling Royal Palace following a pleasant tuk-tuk ride. Stroll the palace grounds to see the famous Silver Pagoda, home of Cambodia’s Emerald Buddha. Your tour continues at the National Museum with its beautiful Khmer craft and ceramics. All-inclusive board basis.
