In the end, Patton arrived just hours before his British comrade, receiving credit for securing Sicily.

Naples, a city in southern Italy, sits on the Bay of Naples. Nearby is Mount Vesuvius, the still-active volcano that destroyed nearby Roman town Pompeii.
