New Sports Bar Highlights Sea Princess' Refit
The multi-million dollar refurbishment of Princess Cruises' Sea Princess will appeal to sport fans, with the ship set to feature a new sports bar showing weekly AFL and NRL matches along with other Australian sport.
Legend bar will have multiple LED screens, 14 varieties of beer and entertaining bar games such as darts and foosball.
Other changes include turning Premier Cru bar into a new whisky bar called 'The Nook' and the addition of a new Amuleto Cafe.
Similar to the one on Dawn Princess, which was launched this year in Australia, The Nook will showcase a menu of 60-plus whiskies served by knowledgeable bartenders.
Amuleto, on the other hand, will serve coffee, sandwiches and sweets. It's part of a major refurbishment of the Horizon Court dining area.
Accompanying these new establishments will be a top-deck New Zealand Natural ice cream outlet beside the main pools and new Australian BBQ meals from the poolside grill.
Following on from its success on board Dawn Princess, Princess Cruises' Beer and Wine Garden Festival will be available to cruisers on the Sea Princess.
The cruise line's new initiatives such as Discovery at Sea – interactive onboard programs and exclusive shore excursions inspired by Discovery network properties – will also be available to guests on Sea Princess.
"Sea Princess is already much-loved in Australia and we think the new venues and features onboard will make her even more popular,” Princess Cruises Vice President Australia and New Zealand Stuart Allison said.
