Refreshed Azamara Quest Emerges From Dry Dock
After two weeks in dry dock in Singapore, Azamara Club Cruises' Azamara Quest is ready to take to the seas again. Boasting a brand-new look and refreshed spaces, guests aboard the 686-passenger mid-size cruise liner will be able to enjoy a raft of new venues and upgraded enhancements. For the refit, Azamara Club Cruises enlisted some of the world's leading design consultants in the arenas of hospitality, leisure and entertainment to help transform the ship into "a modern oasis at sea with a tasteful blend of contemporary, classic elements inspired by nature", according to Ellen Bettridge, Azamara Club Cruises’ Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Americas.
For the Azamara Quest cruiser, this means completely refurbished staterooms and suites, plus two new Spa Suites adjacent to the Sanctum Spa that offer exclusive access to unique spa amenities as part of the stateroom price.
In the onboard shared spaces, The Patio is now known as the Pool Grill - a sitdown, alfresco dining area with refreshed decor and a new evening menu to be enjoyed with live music against the outdoors ocean backdrop. A new Swirl & Top self-serve frozen yoghurt station is just the cherry on top.
Windows Cafe has also been refurbished with more flexible seating options, including for couples who wish to dine alone, as well as contemporary furnishings and the rejuvenated Sunset Bar outside to admire the dusk show as the sun goes down. Meanwhile, Discoveries Restaurant and Discoveries Bar have also been enhanced with new decor, lighting, varied seating arrangements and furniture to provide an warm and inviting space to mingle and dine.
The former Looking Glass Lounge is now known as the Living Room, a new and improved space that lives up to its name with cosy chairs and sofas to relax in and enjoy light fare during the day, tapas in the evening and music and DJs to dance to at night. For another entertainment enhancement, the Casino has also had a facelift with new slot machines and upgraded furnishings and carpet, with the refreshed Spirits Bar nearby for a cocktail.
For Australia cruisers, Azamara Quest's sister ship Azamara Journey will make her debut Down Under in early February 2017. Both ships will return to Australia during 2018 as well.
