The Scenic Eclipse in Antarctica

The Countdown Is On: 12 Months Until Scenic Eclipse Makes Her Debut

Posted August 31st, 2017

Exciting times are on the horizon for Scenic and its loyal guests alike, with the high end travel company only 12 months away from launching the World's first discovery yacht - Scenic Eclipse.  This six star yacht will make her public debut on the 31st August 2018 in the picturesque waters of the Mediterranean.  From here, the ship will make her inaugural sail, travelling from Athens through to Italy's floating city of Venice.

Scenic's Managing Director Glen Moroney said that interest in the inaugural season has been high, with strong early sales.  The first sail has already sold out, as have several of the ships subsequent journeys.  He added that "the market for true luxury in both small ships and expedition itineraries is heating up, and we are proud to put forth a ship we believe will exceed all expectations".

The debut voyage will follow a handcrafted itinerary, offering guests impeccable, all-inclusive luxury true to the Scenic brand.  Scenic Eclipse has been designed to deliver the ultimate experience of a lifetime, setting the standard for ocean cruising when it comes to size, technology and luxury.

After the first voyage, she will be cruising icy waters, with several Arctic and Antarctic itineraries planned for the season.  She will carry a maximum of 228 guests, who will benefit from a 1:1 ratio of staff, along with unparalleled new levels of safety, discovery and world-class innovation.
