The Best Butlers At Sea

Posted March 13th, 2017

Cruise holidays provide travellers with a variety of unique benefits, from the joy of never having to pack and repack your luggage, to the benefit of enjoying fun onboard activities and quality dining while in transit. Aboard luxury cruises, however, things get taken up a notch. Trained to ensure guests are nothing but satisfied, butlers can provide the kind of personalised service one only dreams about. Below, we’ve rounded up the best butler services available.

On any of Silversea’s voyages, all passengers will be able to feel like a king or queen. On arrival, your butler will welcome you to your suite, present an array of bathroom amenities, explain how the entertainment system works, offer to unpack your luggage, discuss your food preferences with the chef, make onboard dinner reservations, organise private fitness sessions and more. During your luxury cruise, your butler will also keep your suite in perfect order, serve you breakfast orders, polish your shoes, look after laundry and dry cleaning requests, turn down your bed each night and pack your luggage.

Suite guests travelling with Azamara will enjoy the wonderful service provided by specially trained butlers. With an eye for detail, your butler will act as your very own valet, party planner, sommelier, mixologist and reservations specialist in one. So whether you need your dinner jacket dry-cleaned or you’d like your luggage packed, your friendly and professional butler will be there to help. Their aim? To keep you relaxed and happy.

Guests in Regent’s Penthouse suites and higher can enjoy the one-on-one attention and service of a private butler. No longer will you have to bother with making dinner reservations, sorting out your laundry needs, unpacking your suitcase or trying to book shore excursions. Just say the word and your butler will do the rest.

Booked into a Queens Grill suite on your Cunard cruise ship? If so, a butler service is available for you! In addition to keeping your suite clean and tidy, your butler will look after bed making, floral arrangements, suite amenities and toiletries, laundry, packing and unpacking of luggage, hosting in-suite cocktail parties, serving individual canapes, mail and newspapers and escorting guests to their suite upon arrival. Your butler will also serve any room service orders course by course.

On Oceania voyages, butler service is provided to guests booked in Penthouse, Oceania, Vista and Owner’s Suites. As part of this service, guests can enjoy course-by-course in-suite dining (can order from any of the specialty restaurants), priority shore excursion reservations, packing and unpacking, complimentary clothes pressing and shoe shines, gourmet canapes in the evening and entertainment reservations.

Crystal Cruises

Available 24 hours a day, the personal butler service offered on Crystal Cruises’ voyages will have you in seventh heaven. In addition to garment pressing and shoe shines, your butler can unpack and pack your belongings, confirm dining, spa and shore excursion reservations, and serve afternoon tea, dinner (course by course) and evening cocktails and canapes. This service is available to passengers booked in Penthouse accommodations, while all guests on the Crystal Esprit and Crystal River Yachts will enjoy a similar experience.
