All-New Azamara Pursuit Set For Refit And Maiden Voyage in UK
Boutique cruise line Azamara Club Cruises has announced that it’s new ship, Azamara Pursuit, will be refitted in the UK and set sail on its first voyages from there – a region where they have seen huge interest from cruisers.
The transformation will make it almost identical to sister ships Azamara Quest and Azamara Journey, in line with Azamara’s ‘boutique hotel at sea’ concept.
Work is set to begin in Ireland in Spring 2018 and will be completed by the end of July.
The all-new Azamara Pursuit – the third ship for the boutique cruise line – will then make its maiden voyage on August 1, 2018, departing from Southampton.
It will travel to eight destinations in Norway as part of its Destination Immersion country-intensive series – which focuses on staying longer, experiencing more and connecting with the local life and culture.
Stops include Kristiansand, Flam and Haugesund , with overnight stays in Oslo and Bergen; Azamara Journey will also dock in Haugesun on the same day as Azamara Pursuit, marking the first meeting of the sister ships.
Following its maiden voyage, Azamara Pursuit will depart from Southampton on an Iceland-intensive journey on 13 August 2018, and a 13 Night Wine and Romance Voyage on 30 August 2018.
A very special christening voyage will also take place on 28 August 2018, bound to be full of celebrations.
