National Geographic Islander Cruises
Nimble and modern, the National Geographic Islander is a unique combination of an explorer vessel with a yacht-like feel. She cruises the Galapagos region, carrying just 48 passengers and visiting remote destinations that larger ships cannot access.
Aboard, the commitment to exploration is evident. The National Geographic Islander boasts a host of tools for active discovery such as kayaks, snorkelling gear, a fleet of zodiacs and scuba diving equipment for select locations.
Inside, the atmosphere is stately, with a rich nautical design featuring mahogany and brass fittings. The spacious lounge is the social hub of the ship where guests gather for briefings, the traditional daily recap and social occasions such as cocktails. After a hard day’s exploration the focus shifts to relaxation. The National Geographic Islander has a wellness program including massage treatments along with a small fitness centre. There are also broad open decks, with hammocks provided.
The accommodation is comfortable and refined. There are 24 cabins all boasting outside views, ample storage, a writing table, climate control and Wi-Fi access. Eight cabins feature private glassed-in terraces.
