Queen of the West Cruises
Witness the wonder of travel from a bygone era aboard the custom-built paddle boat, the Queen of the West. Built to faithfully replicate a historic 1800s paddle boat, it carries 120 passengers on voyages of the Columbia and Snake Rivers, retracing the pioneering footsteps of legendary American explorers Lewis and Clark.
A veteran of this region, the Queen of the West was last refurbished in 2011 with newly designed furniture, expanded staterooms and additional private balconies. The result is a stunning and elegantly appointed paddle boat where an intimate and relaxed atmosphere is shared amongst guests.
By day, passengers enjoy culturally enriching shore excursions, exploring quaint towns, picturesque scenery and stunning natural sights. Each experience is brought to life by guest historians, naturalists and expert lectures. Four spacious Victorian-themed lounges provide lavish vantage points in which to relax and enjoy the passing scenery and watch the rhythmic rotation of the paddlewheel.
Come nightfall, the ship comes alive with socialising as guests share cocktails, fine cuisine and then settle in for nightly entertainment. When it comes time to retreat for the evening, staterooms boast hotel-style fittings including a private bathroom, flat-screen television and coffee maker.
With its elegant design, personalised service and impressive collection of artworks and photography, the Queen of the West is the most comfortable way possible to truly experience the Pacific Northwest.
