Leith is a town at the mouth of the Water of Leith and is the port of Edinburgh, Scotland. Once a decaying dockland, Leith has been transformed to become one of the city's most exciting and vibrant districts.
Leith boasts arguably the best concentration of good restaurants (particularly seafood) in Edinburgh. The dock areas are being transformed, most notably the vast building housing the Scottish Executive and the new Ocean Terminal, a shopping and entertainment complex beside which the former Royal Yacht 'Britannia' sits.
