Hong Kong Cruise Terminals
Ocean Terminal, Harbour City
Situated in Kowloon, in the heart of Hong Kong, Ocean Terminal is part of the major shopping mecca, Harbour City Complex. The complex boasts 450 retail shops, 50 restaurants, cinemas and hotels that passengers can take advantage of, as well as stunning views of Victoria Harbour and the skyline; a cosmopolitan East meets West fusion and sophisticated terminal facilities.
You can reach the terminal with a 40 minute drive from the airport, or take a 30 minute train ride on the airport Express Railway to Kowloon Station, and drive 5 minutes to Ocean Terminal. Parking is available at an hourly rate.
Attractions nearby include the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, the Hong Kong Museum of Art and the Hong Kong Space Museum.
Kai Tak Cruise Terminal
Located at the former Kai Tak Airport Runway, the first berth at this world-class terminal was completed in June 2013 and the second one is due to be completed in 2014. It is situated 42km’s from the International Airport, or 10km’s from the Kowloon Station Express Line.
Nearby attractions include the elegant Chi Lin Nunnery and the famed Lei Yue Mun seafood bazaar.
China Merchants Wharf
This terminal, located at the western end of Hong Kong island, offers an interesting alternative to the hectic Kowloon berthing facilities. Just getting to the terminal will offer you an intriguing insight into how the ancient and modern co-exist in this society, with the nearby neighbourhoods being a complex mix of old and new – from dried seafood shops and traditional Chinese medicine dispensaries, to modern and chic shopping malls, luxury hotels and fine dining.
You can reach this terminal from the Kennedy Town Bus terminus (a 3 minute walk from the terminal), or via a 35 minute taxi ride.
