Princess Cruises tops Aussie Cruise Poll

Posted August 24th, 2011

On Monday we looked at how to pick the right cruise ship for your personality. But, earlier this month, an article in Cruise Weekly showed that Princess Cruises tops the list of favourite cruise lines in Australia, according to a vote by past passengers.

In this year’s annual poll by local cruising community, Oz Cruise Club, Princess Cruises gained a significant increase in popularity from last year, up by 13% to 47% of total votes.

Last year’s winner, P&O Australia, dropped to second, with 22% of votes, despite the addition of Pacific Pearl in December.

Royal Caribbean, which has only one ship based in Sydney for half of the year, remained in 3rd place, slipping to 16%.

The upcoming introduction of Sea Princess to Sydney this summer will bring Princess Cruises local fleet to four, and it will also base a ship in Queensland for the first time, with Sun Princess moving up to Brisbane in September.

What do you think about Princess Cruises?
