Princess Cruises Debuts A New Look

Posted February 19th, 2016

With the ocean breeze in her hair, the iconic logo of Princess Cruises is an emblem of elegance and adventure on the high seas, so it’s only fitting that the woman with the flowing locks adorns the newest cruise ship in the fleet, Majestic Princess. As the first ship built and designed for the China market, Majestic Princess will also be the first in the fleet to sport the new livery design featuring the Italian cruise company’s logo.

With a capacity of 3,560 passengers and sailing from its home port of Shanghai, Majestic Princess will commence cruising to Japan and Korea in spring 2017 and be based in China all year round. As a sister ship to Royal Princess and Regal Princess, this latest offering will have similar inclusions such as a multi-storey atrium, the unique glass-floor SeaWalk that extends eight metres over the ocean, the Princess Live! Interactive studio, the largest top deck pool in the fleet, and the Chef’s Table Lumiere (a private dining experience where diners are surrounded in a curtain of light) as well as new venues and features created especially for Chinese travellers.

The new livery design will be extended to the rest of the Princess Cruises fleet over the next few years.

Consumed with unrequited wanderlust, I get my fix in 24/7 cities and hippie retreats. I'm still looking for the ultimate combo of secluded beach and major metropolis, and my happy place is a 5-star hotel room all to myself - sigh.
