Princess Cruises' 2014 Round World Cruise

This morning, Princess Cruises announced the worldwide launch of their May to October 2014 Australia based cruises for Dawn Princess® and Sea Princess®, featuring an enhanced 104-day World Cruise. In addition, Sea Princess® will debut a series of 7-day voyages from Brisbane and an enriched Indonesia cruise from Fremantle, while Dawn Princess® will offer a new Papua New Guinea itinerary from Sydney.

Dawn Princess World Cruise 2014

The cruise line has announced that Dawn Princess® will return as the Sydney-based full circumnavigation World Cruise vessel setting sail for 104-days on 18 May, 2014. The ship will visit 40 destination in 27 countries on 6 continents on a new route via South America and Easter Island.

World Cruise key highlights:

  • For the first time ever on a Princess World Cruise from Australia, the ship will sail through the Panama Canal, and south through the tropics to include Peru, Ecuador, and the remote Easter Island. An optional overland shore excursion to the legendary Machu Picchu will be a key highlight
  • 9 maiden port calls, including Myanmar; Colombo; Sri Lanka; Toulon (for Provence), France; New London, Connecticut; Castries, St. Lucia; Kralendijk, Bonaire; Manta, Ecuador; Lima (Callao), Peru; Easter Island, Chile and a scenic cruise past Pitcairn Island - home to the mutineers of the Bounty
  • Overnight calls in Dubai, Venice and Lima (Callao)
  • Returning favourite iconic destinations include Singapore, Athens, Rome, New York and of course the poignant morning visit to historic ANZAC Cove off the Turkish coast

Queensland & South Pacific:

New for the Australia-based 2014 winter season, Sea Princess® will be debuting a series of 7-day roundtrip departures from Brisbane. Two itinerary variations will be offered on five departures sailing roundtrip from Brisbane on Sundays from 18 May to 15 June 2014. Sunday departures to the warm waters of the Great Barrier Reef and New Caledonia offer the perfect week long break.

Dawn Princess® will also debut a new 20-day Papua New Guinea and South Pacific itinerary from Sydney, featuring unique maiden calls to 3 new ports, including Alotau, Doini Island and Kiriwina Island.

Asia & Australia:

Sea Princess® will sail on an enhanced itinerary roundtrip from Fremantle, with maiden calls to Indonesia, such as Makassar on Sulawesi Island, and Surabaya, Indonesia's second largest city. A true highlight will be a call to Komodo Island, home to the komodo dragon - the world's largest living lizard.
