Due to set sail in December 2017, the MSC Seaside heralds the introduction of a new generation of ships for MSC Cruises. Transporting 5,179 passengers and 1,413 crew members, the MSC Seaside will be based year round in Miami and will offer a variety of itineraries. Guests may find themselves in Mexico, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, Jamaica and the Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, MSC’s exclusive piece of paradise. Developed by MSC, the marine reserve features over 10 beaches, a lagoon and extensive aquatic sport activities, providing guests with a taste of the island lifestyle.
Built to Soak up the Sun
Touted as the ‘ship that follows the sun’, the MSC Seaside has been designed to help passengers make the most of the warm weather which abounds in the Caribbean. Three glass catwalks will make you feel as though you’re walking on water, while a panoramic glass lift offers spectacular ocean views around the clock. A unique, open air waterfront promenade with eateries and shops wraps itself around the ship, allowing cruisers to experience the majestic beauty of sunsets, enjoy al fresco dining, shop up a storm, and sunbathe to their hearts’ content. Many of the inside and outside public areas are connected, meaning you will be close to the ocean as much as possible.
With 11 different types of staterooms, passengers are sure to find just the right accommodation for them on board the MSC Seaside, whether they be travelling solo, as a couple, as a family or in a large group. The MSC Yacht Club Royal Suite is extremely luxurious, with a double bed, spacious wardrobe, bathroom with tub and shower, interactive TV, air-conditioning, and a balcony with a dining table and whirlpool. The Super Family Plus option consists of three connecting staterooms, three bathrooms and three balconies, and can accommodate up to 10 people. Sun lovers can rejoice too – 72% of cabins will feature a balcony.
From buffets to fine dining, passengers will be spoilt for choice when it comes to drinking and dining while at sea. Indoor and outdoor restaurants serve up anything from premium seafood and sushi to steak and pizza. Meanwhile, 20 distinct bars provide a delicious mix of fine wines, spirits, innovative cocktail creations and international beers.
The fun will never end on the MSC Seaside, thanks to a huge range of amenities and features. Whether you watch a movie in the 5D Cinema, an acrobatic performance from the world-famous Cirque du Soleil, or a side-splitting show from a genius at the comedy club, you are bound to be transfixed from start to finish. Passengers can also work on their bowling skills in a full-sized bowling alley, take a chance on Lady Luck at the casino, or get their thrills on the world’s longest zip line at sea, which will span 130 metres.
Interactive Aqua Park
Another highlight is the onboard aqua park, which will be one of the largest and most interactive parks at sea. The MSC Seaside will also be the first ship to feature slide boarding technology, pairing a slide with an interactive video game. Traditional high-speed aquatubes and play areas for the little ones will also be on offer, guaranteeing there’s fun in the sun for everyone.
The MSC Touch
Available on several other cruise ships in the MSC fleet, the MCC Yacht Club experience will also be accessible on board the MSC Seaside. Private, exclusive and luxurious – this is the ultimate way to indulge and enjoy an array of facilities, including a large-scale solarium, in a sanctuary of refinement.
