Posted January 15th, 2015

Regent Seven Seas Cruises has released the first artist renderings of their new ship, Seven Seas Explorer - which they have heralded as "The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built", boasting opulent suites, gracious lounges and restaurants and fascinating inaugural season itineraries.

Ordered 18 months ago, this newest ship is due to be delivered in mid-2016. Catering to only 750 guests per sailing, this all-suite, all-balcony vessel will début with a 14-night sailing from Monte Carlo to Venice, departing on 20 July 2016.

As always with Regent, the best of everything will be included - from free  shore excursions to unlimited beverages, including fine wines and premium spirits. Seven Seas Explorer will feature more spacious and sophisticated designer suites and stylish public areas, as well as additional gourmet dining options and a world-class spa.

Among the new collection of restaurants onboard (details soon to be announced), guests will also be able to enjoy three of Regent's classic dining venues: Compass Rose, Prime 7 and La Veranda. Each restaurant will boast a sophisticated decor to match their unique menus. Delight in Italian fare surrounded by the glamour of the Riviera at La Veranda, or absorb the sophisticated feel of a traditional American steakhouse at Prime 7, as you savour a porterhouse steak, or dine on Continental cuisine as you take in the full beauty of the ocean in Compass Rose.

Seven Seas Explorer will offer all-suite accommodations, with separate seating areas and expansive private balconies. At the top of the stateroom categories will be the one-of-a-kind Regent Suite, a 2-bedroom retreat offering an in-room spa complete with steam room and sauna, and an outdoor area with private garden and views of the ship's bow. Other inclusions for guests in the Regent Suite include a private car and driver , with a personalised guide in every port, free and unlimited Wi-Fi, priority dining reservations, daily canapés delivered to the suite, and much more.

The cruise line has also signed a new partnership with the Smithsonian Institute to bring you The Smithsonian Collection by Smithsonian Journeys, an engaging enrichment program led by a wide range of experts, from noted art historians to award-winning authors, who are eager to share their knowledge of the region you are visiting. You will be able to participate in insightful discussions and informative Q&A sessions, exchange ideas on a personal level in a social setting, and fully immerse yourself in the destination through select excursions.

Regent Seven Seas Cruises will begin taking reservations for her maiden voyage and inaugural season in February 2015. Will you be among the first to sail onboard "The Most Luxurious Ship Ever Built"?
