Experience Europe with Uniworld

Posted July 14th, 2016

Rich in history, culture, traditions and famous landmarks, nowhere else in the world captivates the imagination like Europe. Seeing the well-known locales from the vantage point of a boutique river cruise adds an extra-special layer to the Europe experience, while immersive onshore excursions reveal hidden gems at ports that only small ships can access.

Experience life on the major waterways of Europe in luxury as you meander through tulip-laden fields in the Netherlands, alight at the historic beaches of Normandy, and sail down the Danube River to witness the breathtaking scenery and architecture along the way.

With exceptional service and luxury complementing innovative ships, Uniworld is the ideal way to see the magnificent sights and scenery of Europe.

My Uniworld experience

– With Marcie Bolin
from Cruiseabout Burleigh

From the moment I stepped on board
the S.S. Antoinette, I knew I was in for a spectacular week, cruising from Cologne to Basel along the Rhine River. Each day began with an orientation of a new port. The local guides were excellent and there were optional excursions for even more variety. I loved having the option of Nordic walking sticks and bicycles that were available at any opportunity.

The ship never felt busy or crowded - there were enough lounge spaces to accommodate all guests and still feel like you had your own space.

I can really see how people fall in love
with this style of luxury travel – it sets a relaxing pace, you only have to unpack once, and cruising along the river allows for spectacular sightseeing at all times. I can’t imagine anyone who wouldn’t enjoy this type of experience.

Exceptional service – The level of service was exceptional; by day two the staff knew the names of all 118 passengers and greeted us personally. The restaurant staff knew how you like your coffee, and the bar staff knew your drink order without having to ask.

Luxury factor – I stayed in an open- air balcony stateroom. The beds were handcrafted by Savoir of England, the bathrooms stocked with L’Occitane products - small touches that were well appreciated.

Fine dining – The food on board was divine. The quality of the food was fine dining at it best, rivaling any top restaurant on land.

All-inclusive – Uniworld River Cruises include airport transfers, dining and beverages, gratuities, a wide choice of personalised excursions, a well-equipped fitness centre and onboard wellness classes, shipwide internet and Wi-Fi access, plus onboard entertainment.
