Crystal Cruises’ New Airline with New Luxury Jet

Posted November 28th, 2016

Crystal Cruises is set to take luxury to new heights with the introduction of Crystal AirCruises in 2017. Travelling aboard a Boeing 777-200LR, up to 84 guests will be transported to some of the world’s most exotic and exclusive destinations as part of 14, 21 and 28-day itineraries. Passengers will enjoy luxurious furnishings and first-class service.

‘Crystal AirCruises is not just a thrilling new venture for Crystal, but a groundbreaking development in the luxury travel industry’, said Edie Rodriguez, Crystal’s CEO and president. ‘Even the savviest travellers and guests who have sailed on our award-winning ocean cruises many times will relish brand new opportunities to explore places impossible to reach by water, all with Crystal’s signature personalised service and the highest standard of luxury at every point of travel’.

The foray into luxury air travel is the latest expansion from Crystal Cruises, which launched Crystal Yacht Cruises in 2015, Crystal Luxury Air in April 2016, and Crystal River Cruises in July 2016. Crystal Luxury Air provides guests with an on-demand charter jet service, allowing them to travel anywhere for business or pleasure in exclusive finery.

The Features

Crystal Cruises’ privately owned Boeing 777-200 LR is currently being upgraded to provide passengers with the quintessential ‘Crystal’ experience of luxury and customisation. The jet will boast features normally found in luxury suites. The Crystal Exclusive Class seats will be able to fully recline, transforming into flat beds measuring just over 186cm long and ensuring guests can enjoy a restful sleep while in the air.

The spacious social lounge will have a stand-up bar, two divans and four dining tables, letting guests mingle and relax as they journey from destination to destination. Meanwhile, Michelin Star-inspired cuisine will be prepared by a masterful chef and matched with a superb wine list.

In the airy lavatories, passengers can take advantage of premium amenities from ETRO, an Italian fashion house which produces perfumes and body care products such as soaps, conditioners and lotions.

Guests will also be treated to a range of creature comforts and conveniences, including iPads, individual USB ports and power outlets, noise-cancelling headphones, free global Wi-Fi and large flat-screen TVs with on-demand programming and a music library.

Crystal is dedicated to providing those little touches which can make a world of difference. On top of these technological treats, Crystal’s famous butler and concierge services will also make the transition to the sky.
