Cruise Review - Uniworld's S.S. Catherine
Launched in March 2014, Super Ship Catherine is Uniworld River Cruises' newest sparkling gem in their river cruising fleet. She was christened in an elegant ceremony in front of more than 150 guests in Lyon, France. She was named in honour of her godmother, the beautiful and legendary French actress Catherine Deneuve, and has been designed with the unique signature touches for which Uniworld is known.
This ultra luxurious Super Ship marks the debut in an entirely new category of cruising, one which will be expanded upon in 2015 when the cruise line launches S.S. Maria Theresa. Hosting only 159 passengers, S.S. Catherine has been meticulously engineered, lavishly decorated with exquisitely crafted furnishings, hand-selected antiques and original artwork, and finished off with opulent touches like a hand-blown Murano glass chandelier and a life-sizes glass horse, both specially commissioned for the ship.
