Carnival Journeys Provides More Onboard Entertainment
Carnival Cruise Line isn't making its guests settle for typical cruise entertainment. The international line's new Carnival Journeys program brings a variety of exciting onboard experiences for guests on its transpacific cruises.
The program has been created with longer voyages in mind and focuses on better immersing passengers in cruise life and the destinations.
"Cruise fans love longer cruises so we know that they’ll be excited by the extra opportunities that Carnival Journeys provides to really immerse themselves in their holiday,” Carnival Cruise Line Vice President Australia Jennifer Vandekreeke said.
Some of the offerings from Carnival Journeys include:
- Academy of Fun - Interactive sessions that blend education with fun in building guests' aptitude in a variety of disciplines such as photography, food, social media and astronomy.
- Throwback Sea Days - The clocks are turned back to 1987 with crew members donning the old era-appropriate uniforms, retro pool games, an old-school disco and 80s-inspired dinner.
- Cruise Connection - Guests are better able to interact with crew members over a series of events that include galley tours, crew meet-and-greets, Q&A sessions with officers and a crew talent show.
Carnival Journeys was a hit during its debut on Carnival Legend, when she sailed from Sydney to the USA, and will continue to feature on Carnival's transpacific journeys.
“Whether they are connecting with the crew, learning a new skill or playing retro deck games, the program is designed to provide passengers with a richer, deeper cruise experience,” said Ms Vandekreeke.
