During the day, it has a large assortment of activities to entertain you. Attend cooking classes, towel-folding tutorials, trivia quizzes, and matinee movies. Climb the rock wall and revel in beautiful views from the top. Challenge friends to a game of basketball and table tennis, or browse the duty-free boutiques. Royal Caribbean Online, the internet café, lets you connect with friends back home.

Monarch of the Seas has two pools and two whirlpools on the Sun Deck, ideal for lounging in the sun, lap swimming, and playing water sport. The Vitality Spa has indulgent beauty and wellness treatments, including massages, facials, and aromatherapy sessions. The ShipShape fitness centre has cardio machines, weight equipment, and fitness classes like yoga, Tai Chi, and kickboxing.

At night, Monarch of the Seas has nine bars and lounges to suit any cruiser's style. The main show lounge, the Sound of Music Theatre, has Broadway-style musical revues, magicians, and game shows. And if you are feeling lucky, Casino Royale has table games and slot machines, and Schooner Bar is the perfect lounge for relaxing to live music. The Monarch of the Seas youth program is exciting and entertaining for young cruisers. The Adventure Ocean Program is tailored to several different age groups, starting with Aquanauts for ages three to five, Explorers for ages six to eight, Voyagers, for ages nine to eleven, and Navigators for ages twelve to fourteen. Activities include crafts, sport, tours, and discos. Older teens ages fifteen to seventeen can hang out at cool teen-only lounges. Very young children, six months to 36 months are welcome in Royal Babies and Royal Tots for special programs with Fisher-Price.
Monarch of the Seas has traditional dining, fun specialty restaurants, and casual eateries for a quick bite. The two deck high main dining rooms, Vincent's and Claude's, offer traditional and open-seating. Windjammer Marketplace is a buffet-style dining area with a variety of different cuisines from Italian to Thai. For a casual and quick bite, try Sorrento's Pizza. Jade, open for dinner, is a specialty restaurant with Asian-fusion cuisine and fresh sushi, and Café Latte-tudes offers specialty coffee and fresh baked pastries.
