Queen of the Mississippi

Cruise on board American Cruise Lines's Queen of the Mississippi

The golden age of American river travel is recreated in all its glory aboard the stunning paddleboat, the Queen of the Mississippi. Launched in 2015, this spectacular vessel is faithfully modelled on a Victorian-style riverboat, complete with chandeliers, gleaming woodwork, brass fittings and a large collection of artworks.

Aboard, 150 passengers are treated to all the luxurious features of a bygone age, including an elegant dining room, spacious lounges, and authentic period entertainment. Shore excursions also capture the historical significance of each destination, and are complemented by onboard lectures and seminars. Public spaces boast floor-to-ceiling windows where guests can relax and watch the views unfold or witness the rhythmic turning of the paddle wheel.

While history abounds, safety and amenities are anything but outdated. In addition to its authentic décor, the Queen of the Mississippi boasts the latest navigation and safety equipment, along with luxury hotel amenities such as flat-screen televisions and wireless internet. The staterooms are spacious. All have a private bathroom and ample storage, and most have their own personal balcony to enjoy the picturesque views en route.

The Queen of the Mississippi brings a new standard to the American riverboat experience, combining the old with the new for the most comfortable vacation imaginable on the Mississippi.
